The NYS OCFS Community Alert Network is intended to enhance communication between participating OCFS residential youth facilities and their neighbors. The safety of communities, OCFS residents, and staff are of utmost importance, and OCFS uses the latest technologies to assist with communication. We are happy to notify you of events that we believe may affect you as our neighbor. For example, you could be notified if a youth leaves a facility without authorization or if a facility evacuation is required. The notification will be delivered through an automated telephone call, and updates will be provided.

How to Register

If you are interested in participating in this free service, please follow the instructions below.

To register by phone:

Call 1-855-638-3540 and follow the pre-recorded instructions.

Please do not call the facility directly to register.

To register online:

For the names of facilities in your area, please consult the list below. In order to register, you must provide your telephone number(s), the county and the facility name. You may select more than one facility.
