The New York State Commission for the Blind Announces Opportunities for Public Comments on the State Plan
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) was signed into law on July 22, 2014. WIOA places emphasis on competitive integrated employment, services to youth with disabilities, and improving services to employers and businesses.
The New York State Commission for the Blind (NYSCB) works closely with the New York State Department of Labor, State Education Department - Adult Education, State Education Department - Adult Career and Continuing Education-Vocational Rehabilitation, and other state and local agencies to build a workforce system that supports all individuals seeking employment.

The NYSCB portion of the New York State Combined State Plan will be available for review on July 28, 2023, at https://ocfs.ny.gov/main/cb/stateplan/
