Provider Alert: Don’t Forget to Post Your Seasonal Flu Guides
It’s that time of year again – Flu Season. The single best way to prevent seasonal flu is to get a yearly flu vaccine. Infants and young children are at a greater risk for becoming seriously ill if they come down with the flu. The New York State Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control recommend that all people six months of age and older get vaccinated as soon as vaccine is available. The NYS Department of Health sent all providers these informative guides to post in their facilities in order to ensure that families know about influenza and the benefits of flu shots. Providers are required to post influenza educational material in plain view. Thank you for your cooperation in posting this important information.
