Program Improvement Plan
OCFS submitted its final version of the Program Improvement Plan in March 2018 and received approval from the federal Administration for Children and Families on April 5, 2018. Developed with state stakeholders, this plan focuses on enhancing the safety, permanency and well-being of children and families who are involved in the child welfare system.
Final Report
The on-site review of cases from the NYC Administration for Children Services, Monroe and Rensselaer counties was conducted in June 2016, and the findings were received in December 2016. The report highlights areas of strength and those in need of improvement. OCFS is developing New York State’s Program Improvement Plan to address areas needing improvement.
Statewide Assessment
OCFS submitted the Statewide Assessment, a self-assessment of New York State's performance on all 36 federal review items, in April 2016. The Statewide Assessment included substantial input from districts, agencies, youth, families and other stakeholders.
