January Is National Human Trafficking Awareness Month

Human trafficking is a modern-day form of slavery whose victims include young children, teenagers, men and women, and both domestic and foreign-born victims.  It is a serious crime that is punishable by both New York State and Federal Law. Because many trafficking victims have abuse and neglect histories, it is especially important that child welfare staff be knowledgeable.  Visit our webpage to learn more.
