In the wake of recent state and national incidents, the NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) would like to remind the public:
EVERYONE can help prevent child abuse by reporting any suspicions of maltreatment.
If you suspect a child is being abused, call 1-800-342-3720 to reach the New York Statewide Central Register’s (SCR) Child Abuse Hotline, a toll-free number available  24/7.
  • You don’t have to be a mandated reporter to make the call.
  • If you suspect a child is in immediate danger, call 911
