Retirement Program
NYS Employee’s Retirement System (ERS) is designed to provide income after retirement from State service. The plan also provides supplemental benefits such as loan privileges, disability retirement benefits, and death benefits for eligible employees. Enrollment in ERS is mandatory for full-time permanent employees. Retirement benefits are determined by the total years of credited service, age at retirement, and final average salary.
