GOVERNOR HOCHUL ANNOUNCES LARGEST EVER INVESTMENT IN NEW YORK STATE'S GUN INVOLVED VIOLENCE ELIMINATION (GIVE) INITIATIVE

$18.2 million in funding to support law enforcement agencies that participate in New York State's Gun Involved Violence Elimination (GIVE) initiative, the largest state investment in the program since its inception in 2014.

THE NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF MOBILE RESPONSE UNITS TO STRENGTHEN CHILDREN AND FAMILIES AT RISK OF ENTERING CHILD WELFARE SYSTEM

Four new mobile response vehicles will be dispatched around New York State to help bring services and resources to support families where they're located as part of the expansion of primary prevention work. Unit staff develop and operate coordinated programs of community-based family support and family preservation services to reduce child maltreatment, address safety and family integrity.

GOVERNOR HOCHUL ANNOUNCES HISTORIC $2 BILLION IN CHILD CARE SUBSIDIES TO SUPPORT LOW-INCOME AND WORKING FAMILIES AND CHILD CARE PROVIDERS

The largest investment in child care subsidies in New York State history will be distributed — $2 billion to increase the number of families receiving child care financial assistance and the amount child care providers are paid for their essential services. It includes $894 million in New York State Child Care Block Grants. These investments provide much-needed support.
