LAN ADMINISTRATOR STEPS TO TAKE TO VIEW AVAILABLE SPACE ON SERVER
Viewing available space
on the server for user's home directories from NT 4.0
- On Start, Right click and then left click on Explorer
- Find the appropriate server you wish to view.
If the server is not listed you can map to it by:
- Click Tools
- Click Map Drive
- Under the shared directories find your county. Double click on
your county.
- Double click on the server.
- Double click on users.
- You should now be connected to the server that
you wish to view.
- Right click on server name and click on Properties
- A screen similar to this will appear which gives
you a graphical and text view of the server.

Viewing available space on the server for user's
home directories from NT 3.51
- Click on Main
- Click on File Manager
- In File Manager find the server you wish to view in the list on the
left-hand side. If the server is not listed you can map to it by:
- Click on Disk
- Click on Connect Network Drive
- Under the shared directories find your county. Double click on
your county.
- Double click on the server.
- Double click on users.
- You should now be connected to the server that you wish to view.
- On the left had side you should see a drive letter:\-NTFS, under it
will be all the user ids. Make sure you are highlighted on the drive
letter:\-NTFS and you will see at the bottom on the left side how much
memory is free and what the total amount of memory exists.
