Parent Helpline is an information and referral service for parents, professionals, and others who want to find help and support for families. It is a free, confidential, and multilingual line, available for anyone in New York State.  Services are available 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.  After 10 p.m., you can leave a message with our live answering service and a Helpline Specialist will return your call the following morning.

Nurturing Parent Program (NPP) is an evidence-based initiative designed to build nurturing parenting by 1) increasing parents’ sense of self-worth, personal empowerment, empathy, bonding, and attachment; 2) increase the use of alternative strategies to harsh and abusive disciplinary practices; and 3) increase parents’ knowledge of age-appropriate developmental expectations. Services are offered in 12 hour and a half sessions.

Assists Kinship caregivers, and children in their care, in gaining access to information and community support services. Any caregiver residing in the State is able to utilize the toll-free phone line or website to identify Kinship care related services in their home locale. In addition, Kinship specialists are available to assess caregiver needs and develop a plan of action.

A CAC brings a multidisciplinary team approach by providing a non-threatening, child-focused environment where investigations, evaluations, treatment, and prosecution of child sexual and/or physical abuse cases are conducted by team members and where appropriate supportive services to victims and their non-offending family members are provided.
