May Is National Foster Care Month
A time to recognize that we each can play an important part in enhancing the lives of children and youth in foster care. Take a moment during the month to thank a foster parent and think about becoming a mentor or community resource to a youth. GOVERNOR CUOMO ANNOUNCES IMPROVEMENTS TO SHARED WORK PROGRAM TO HELP BUSINESSES AVOID LAYOFFS DURING SHORT TERM FINANCIAL DIFFICULTY
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced additional reform measures to strengthen the state’s Shared Work program that will help businesses avoid layoffs during short term financial difficulties. In 2012, employers using the Shared Work program saved 3,280 jobs. -
NYS Child Abuse Prevention Conference: "Many Voices, One Vision"
In connection with Child Abuse Prevention Month, the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, the NYS Children and Family Trust Fund and Prevent Child Abuse New York recently co-sponsored the 18th annual New York State Child Abuse Prevention Conference, “Many Voices, One Vision,” in Albany.
