Child Protective Services Response CONN Training

Course Description
This course is part of CPS Response Training and is intended solely for participants who are enrolled in that course. The purpose of this one-day classroom training is to instruct Local District CPS casework staff on how to record and maintain information obtained during a CPS investigation in CONNECTIONS. The course builds on the skills learned in Common Core Training and the half-day iLinc course, Starting the Investigation in CONNECTIONS.
Through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on practice exercises, participants will record safety and risk assessments, maintain allegations, answer Investigation Action Questions, submit investigations for approval, discuss consolidating investigations, and create and edit the Family Services Intake from a CPS investigation.

Target Population Description

CONNECTIONS Case Management for Child Welfare Workers

Course Description
The purpose of this two-day classroom course is to train caseworkers how to create and maintain Family Services Intakes and Family Services Stages in CONNECTIONS. 
Through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on practice exercises (using scenarios in which children are receiving protective and foster care services), participants will create and stage progress Family Services Intakes, maintain demographic information on the Stage Composition tab of a Family Services Stage, create and maintain progress notes, edit Tracked Children Detail (including Program Choices and Permanency Planning Goals), launch and edit Family Assessment and Service Plans (FASP), record Foster cCre Issues in the FASP, discuss submitting and approving the FASP, and record Service Plan Review information. 
Please note: This training covers much of the same content that is presented in the CONNECTIONS components of Common CoreTraining.

Target Population Description
This course is intended for Case Managers, Case Planners, Caseworkers, and other professionals who maintain information in the Family Services Intake or Family Services Stage.

Foster and Adoptive Home Development

Course Description
The purpose of this two-day classroom course is to train caseworkers how to create and maintain Foster and Adoptive (FAD) homes in CONNECTIONS.
Through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on practice exercises, participants will learn how to record inquiries for a FAD home, add and relate persons to the home, maintain demographic information for those persons, record a home study, submit homes for approval, generate certificates and other outputs, update information for authorized homes, reauthorize homes, close homes, reopen closed homes, and edit and create Emergency homes.

Target Population Description
This course is intended FAD Caseworkers and any other professionals that create and maintain FAD homes in CONNECTIONS.

LL: CPSRT Starting the Investigation

Course Description
This course is part of CPS Response Training and is intended solely for participants who are enrolled in that course. The purpose of this three-hour, instructor-led iLinc course is to familiarize caseworkers with how to review, record, and maintain information in CONNECTIONS that is obtained at the start of a CPS investigation. 
Through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on simulations, participants will learn about security issues regarding CPS records in CONNECTIONS, discuss the different kinds of stages and types of CPS Intakes, review intake information, review historical information, discuss recording progress notes, maintain person demographics, edit a.k.a. names for persons, add and relate persons to a CPS stage, maintain address and phone information on persons, and generate Notices of Existence.

LL: Documenting SPR and Visiting Plans

Course Description
This course is part of Common Core Training and is intended solely for participants who are enrolled in that course. The purpose of this 90–minute, instructor-led iLinc course is to familiarize caseworkers with the Service Plan Review and Visiting Plan windows in the Family Services Stage in CONNECTIONS.
Through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on simulations, participants will review the tabs within the Service Plan Review, schedule a review, add invitees, generate notifications, review the tabs within the Visiting Pan window, record the review of a visiting plan, and record a new visiting plan.

LL: Exploring the Stage Composition Tab of the FSS

Course Description
This course is part of Common Core Training and is intended solely for participants who are enrolled in that course. The purpose of this 90-minute, instructor-led iLinc course is to familiarize caseworkers with the Stage Composition tab of the Family Services Stage. 
Through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on simulations, participants will review the Stage Composition tab, end date persons, add and relate persons, maintain addresses and phone numbers, edit the Family Relationship Matrix, and maintain caretaker information.

LL: Working with Progress Notes in CONNECTIONS

Course Description
This course is part of Common Core Training and is intended solely for participants who are enrolled in that course. The purpose of this 90-minute, instructor-led iLinc course is to familiarize caseworkers with the tasks most commonly completed on the Progress Notes windows in Family Services Stages.
Through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on simulations, participants will discuss the importance of and security relating to progress notes; and create, modify, sort, search, and print progress notes.

NYC Integrated Core CONNECTIONS Training (Satterwhite)

Course Description
This course is part of CPS Practice Core Training and is intended solely for participants who are enrolled in that course. The purpose of this four-day classroom course is to train caseworkers on the processes of reviewing and editing a CPS investigation, creating a Family Services Intake from a CPS investigation, recording information in a Family Service Stage, and reviewing education and health information in a Family Services Stage. 
Through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on practice exercises, participants will review the intake information of a CPS report, maintain person demographic records in the CPS investigation, generate Notices of Existence, create and maintain progress notes, record safety and risk assessments, record allegations, answer Investigation Action Questions, submit investigations for approval, discuss consolidating investigations, create and stage progress a Family Services Intake, maintain demographic information in the Stage Composition tab, edit Tracked Children Detail (including Program Choices and Permanency Planning Goals), launch, edit and submit a Family Assessment and Service Plan (FASP), record Service Plan Reviews, and review how to locate education and health information for children in CONNECTIONS.

Specialized Preventive Case Management

Course Description
The purpose of this two-day classroom course is to train caseworkers how to create and maintain Family Services Intakes and Family Services Stages in CONNECTIONS, with a focus on ACS policy and procedures. 
Through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on practice exercises (using scenarios in which children have a “Preventive” Program Choice only), participants will create and stage progress Family Services Intakes, maintain person demographic information on the Stage Composition tab of a Family Services Stage, create and maintain progress notes, edit Tracked Children Detail (including Program Choices and Permanency Planning Goals), launch and edit Family Assessment and Service Plans (FASPs), record non-CPS/preventive safety assessments and risk assessments in the FASP, discuss submitting and approving FASPs, and record Service Plan Reviews. 
Please note: This course covers much of the same content that is presented in
CONNECTIONS Case Management for Child Welfare Workers.

Target Population Description

Upstate Common Core CONNECTIONS Training

Course Description
This course is part of Common Core Training and is intended solely for participants who are enrolled in that course. The purpose of this one-day classroom course is to train caseworkers on how to create and maintain Family Assessment and Service Plans (FASPs) in CONNECTIONS. 
Through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on practice exercises, participants will edit Tracked Children Detail (including Program Choices and Permanency Planning Goals ), launch and edit a FASP, discuss submitting and approving FASPs, and launch a Plan Amendment.
